Tipped by Vodafone Future Breakers to be a ‘future chart success’, Yoji is a soulful pop singer and pianist. Hailing from Suffolk Yoji is inspired by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill, Yoji mainly writes heartfelt songs from experience and has won song writing awards such as Fame Music & Coffee House Sessions and iluvlive. Yoji has released two Eps OceanGovern SunshineRule & Life Like Jazz and her songs have been played nationally on radio including Capital FM & Heart FM. This year Yoji has been featured on Tom Robinson’s Fresh On the Net and played on 6 Music. BBC Introducing in Suffolk have been great supporters of Yoji, playing her music regularly. Yoji teamed up with The Samaritans to raise awareness for mental health with her song ‘Satellite’ and the streaming and downloads will be donated to the charity. Yoji completed a Masters in Popular Music at Goldsmiths where she wrote and self-produced her latest singles ‘Twinkle Star’ & ‘Satellite’. Recently Yoji performed at the O2 Arena for the Electric Soul Festival headlined by Kool & The Gang.
