Hayat Selim is an Egyptian London-based singer, songwriter and film composer/vocalist. She moved to the United Kingdom in 2017 on a scholarship to do her masters in composition for screen at the Royal College of Music, London, and graduated in 2019.
Hayat’s crossover music fuses Western classical cinematic orchestration with world music influences such as the Middle East, Ancient Egypt, Ireland and more. Her tribal-cinematic voice has landed her commissions on various games and film scores incl. ‘Age of Empires IV’, ‘Chilvary II’ Universal’s ‘The Forgiven’ and most recently the Dutch feature film ‘Witte Wieven’.
Hayat’s upcoming album ‘Sweat On My Forehead’ is due out this summer.
