Today’s addition to LISTEN LIVE is ‘Someone New’ by Sonia Elisheva

Blending soulful vocals with jazzy beats, British singer-songwriter Sonia Elisheva’s sultry sound caught the attention of Berlin-based record label “Electro Swing Thing” and by the end of 2020, she had entered the music industry as a guest vocalist on several big Electro-Swing collaborations.

In December 2021 her debut EP “HUMMINGBIRD” was released. The five-track jazz and soul project was recorded entirely remotely with various producers and instrumentalists.

Sonia has played several notable London venues, including supporting Brite Spires at the o2 Academy Islington. Although still a newcomer, she has been selected for the Jazz UK and Fresh Finds Spotify editorial playlists and garnered support from BBC Introducing, with her single “U Look Like Danger” receiving airplay on BBC Surrey and BBC Sussex.
