South Coast Ghosts were formed in 2020 by Southsea producer Diamondback Kid and local rapper Tommy Brown. Drawing from the huge pool of local musicians and artists that they knew, an 8 piece collaborative monster was created. With Diamondback Kid on vocals/beats/production and Tommy Brown spitting bars, they bought together local artists Fugitive Orchestra on guitars/vocals, Teddy Trumpet on horns, Sean Brophy on bass, Tony Dart on guitars, Kris James on drums, Ollie Hutton on keys and, up front, singer Georgie. Onto a solid hiphop base they add funk, soul, jazz and pop elements with rapid fire, often social/political bars and soaring soulful vocals to create a powerful but melodic sound.
