Squabble were formed in 2022 by a group of musician friends from West London, who wanted to explore the funkier side of Jazz. Driven by the sounds of Hammond organ, guitar, horns, percussion and drums and drawing inspiration from the Hard Bop and Soul Jazz greats of the 1960’s and 1970’s, including Lee Morgan, Jack McDuff, Grant Green and of course Jimmy Smith, Squabble play a broad range of well known and more obscure tunes from this era. They have recently started writing original material in a similar vein and plan to feature this more prominently both live and in the studio in the future.
