Alation are a five-piece indie rock band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2021, quickly establishing themselves within the North East live music scene. The band is fronted by twin brothers Ethan and Charlie Boreham, joined by Josh Peters on drums, Matty Kirkley on bass, and Will Thurkettle on rhythm guitar. Influenced by decades of British rock, their sound draws from the melodies of The Beatles, the energy of The Who, and the attitude of the Sex Pistols, with touches of The Jam, The Stone Roses and Oasis. Known for energetic live shows and anthemic songs, Alation continue to build a strong reputation both on stage and across the North East music scene.
