Ampersand are a five piece group based in North London currently preparing the release of their debut album.

Fusing elements of folk, rock, jazz and classical music, the ensemble build on music of the past while forging a sound distinctly their own.

Influences include: Tom Waits, Talk Talk, Paul Simon, Andrew Bird and Nina Simone among many others

Focused around the songwriting of singer and pianist Mark Young, the group’s sound is distilled through the production talents of bassist and producer, Tom Campbell, drummer Adam Williams, and the instrumental embellishments of guitarist Tom Stone and multi-instrumentalist Georgina Melling.
