Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa as a second generation Greek immigrant, Anastasía combines and celebrates both cultures and identities in her music. Grounded in the pop realm, but infusing elements of her world music influence, singer-songwriter Anastasía’s sound is best described as alternative electro-pop with dreamy theatrical melodies and unapologetic, off the cuff yet pointed lyrics. Though she experiments with different sounds, you can always expect to hear her staple vocal diversity within every song she writes; ranging from sweet, breathy adlibs, to her dynamic belt and everything in between.
