About

Leeds/London born electronic music producers Ryan Wild aka J.Sparrow and Dom Howard of Submotion Orchestra, first teamed up as Author back in 2011. Their self-titled LP presented a more reflective and jazz-inflected sound than their solo work, which a Residents Advisor review at the time called "comfortably conservative yet experimental." Author’s sophomore release “Forward Forever”, released through Navy Cut in August 2018, reportedly presents a more organic and lifelike sound, according to its press release. Like the first time around, the record boasts a number of guest spots, including UK MCs Jehst & Rider Shafique, reggae singer Dan Man & drum & bass outfit June Miller. The dedicated musicians strive to accomplish sounds of the highest quality. It epitomises the quest for experimentation within the parameters of electronic music by being innovative both in the studio and on stage. Author have performed their lives show in U.K, Europe, Asia & USA to date. DJ and producer Ryan ‘J.Sparrow’ Wild has been producing a variety of Dubstep since 2005. London born DJ and producer Dom ‘Ruckspin’ Howard displayed an affinity for music from an early age. His discography spans across a number of labels including releases under Ranking, Mau5trap, Black Butter, Tectonic, Reggae Roast and Deep Medi. Alongside Tommy Evans of Gentleman’s Dub Club and Ranking records, Ruckspin and his friends were commissioned by the Arts Council to put on a performance at Yorkminster Cathedral. Their performance would go down in the history books for the city of York and Dubstep as the world’s first ever classical and Dubstep hybrid project, employing an ensemble of classical musicians including an opera singer and the cathedral’s own organist.
