Blank Parody are an alternative rock band formed in 2014 by Liam Howard and Joby Fitzgerald. Following an extensive period of recording at Treehouse Studios in Chesterfield with Jim Pinder (Fightstar, BFMV, Shvpes), the bands debut single 'Dark Pretenders' was released in March 2016. The single was met with airplay from BBC introducing and Kerrang! and appraisal from the NME's editor Matt Wilkinson, as well as a host of other muso judges, who selected the track as one of their top 10 picks in the prestigious 'Berwick Street Calling' competition. The second single followed in November 2016. Entitled 'Locket Picture' it was premiered exclusively on Kerrang! and gained overwhelmingly positive reviews from websites such as Punktastic and Musicology, the single launch show seeing the band sell out Lichfield's George IV. It went on to gain ongoing support from Kerrang! Radio and Scuzz TV, receiving daily airplay. They are now preparing to release a third single, entitled 'Marching Through The Smoke' followed by their debut EP later on in 2017 following a run of live dates, which currently include Camden Rocks Festival, Vale Festival and Hope and Glory Festival. Influences include Muse, Biffy Clyro, My Chemical Romance, Foals, Arctic Monkeys, The Cure, The Smiths, Taking Back Sunday, Radiohead, Queen and the Foo Fighters. The band have previously had the opportunity to share the stage with Fearless Vampire Killers, White Eskimo, Freeze The Atlantic, Everybody Looks Famous, Vukovi, Kenneths, Waco, Samoans, E of E, TrueHeights and Electric Six.
