BOBBi is one of the most interesting up and coming singer-songwriters on the London scene right now. Her first single ‘Calling Out,’ which debuted on the UK’s award winning soap Hollyoaks, is a song about betrayal and triumph, acceptance and surrender. In collaboration with Love Music Hate Racism, Hollyoaks featured music from artists like BOBBi, Stormzy, Rita Ora, and RAY BLK on 3 special episodes, to help send a message that racism is not ok, and we all have the power to do something about it. Featuring her co-writers Hannie on this, ‘Calling Out’ was released Sept. 17th through W Songs, a boutique publisher and label under Warner Music. Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, and previously going under her given name Kaylee Johnston, she has opened for Dragonette and Ace of Base, and shared the stage with Carly Rae Jepsen, One Republic, and Joe Jonas. The success of her single ‘Are You the One,’ with over 250k streams on Spotify, opened the door for her to move to London. Now working on her new EP with James Yuill and Charlie McClean, and song cuts coming out with artists like Red Velvet, Hannie, and Micheal Rice, BOBBi is well on her way.
