Boxcars are a 5 piece alternative rock/indie band hailing from London and Essex. Rather than relying on one main songwriter, Boxcars incorporates songs and vocals from across the band in oder to allow for a number of influences to seep with equal prominence into the band's sound. The result is an original music that is toe-tappingly rhythmic, pleasingly melodic and propelled with the odd blast of distortion. In other words, dischord and harmony working alongside each other in a finely tuned balance. Touchstones include REM, Pearl Jam, Neil Young, The Who amongst many others.
