Calista Kazuko

About

Calista Kazuko sings and plays with a depth of expression that moves the heart.  Her songs and performances captivate the audience – original, scintillating, and charged with emotion.

Born into a bohemian family where music was the staple diet and virtuosity was expected, the sassy singer studied as a classical pianist at London’s Royal Academy of Music, before beginning her collaboration with songwriting legend Elliot James Frisby. Their eclectic album recalls Regina Spektor, David Bowie, and the theatricality of Leonard Bernstein. Pop and the Blues sit side by side in an intensely personal collection of songs.

From a whisper to a roar, Calista’s voice has enormous dynamic and expressive range. Her passionate vocal, unique material, and effortless glamour are wowing audiences across Europe.
