Ex session drummer Shane Calpin has finally stepped from behind the kit to front his first original project.  As a seasoned songwriter comparisons are already being made from Jeff Buckley to John Martyn but in truth CALPIN’s sound is difficult to define. With an angelic , mournful and at times haunting voice complimented by a band that understand the songs beautifully CALPIN’s star is on the rise. Following a very successful high profile debut supporting one of his many musical friends CALPIN is currently recording his debut EP and rehearsing with a full band for an early Autumn surge initially on the London scene and followed by a national tour.
