About

Columbia was formed in 2022 when founders Sean Coles and Joseph Allen decided to perform cover songs at a local pub in Brentwood.  They then returned for a Christmas Eve gig at, laying the foundation for the band.

Drawing influence from a variety of sources, Columbia blends the pop and disco elements of The 1975, the rock and roll energy of Jimi Hendrix and Oasis, and the poetic sensibilities of The Beatles and Jeff Buckley.

Following the departure of some former band members, the winter of 2024 saw the addition of guitarist Mathieu Yates, with Daniel Schwabe completing the lineup on drums. Now solidified in its fixed form, Columbia is ready to become the best band you ain’t never seen.
