Cosmic Ninja are an Electronic Rock band formed in Bristol (UK) in 2015 by lead vocalist Tamsin Cullum (aka TC), guitarist and vocalist Jonny Angelini and bassist Robin De Wandelaer. After working with two session drummers: Duke Grooves (2015 -2017) and Tobias Alexander (2017-present), drummer Ellie Daymond joined the band in May 2018 to complete its current lineup. Their eclectic musical style combines influences from a diverse range of rock and electronic genres. Their live show features a one-of-it’s-kind interactive light synth (created by their very own TC) and a synchronised light show as well as their signature LED shoes and glasses. After the release of their first single “Redefine” in April 2015, the band played their first shows opening for local and touring bands. In October 2015, they played a sold-out concert at the Crofters Right in their hometown of Bristol to celebrate the release of their 2nd single “Eradicate”. Later that year they paid homage to Rage Against the Machine with a homemade live video for the song "Bulls on Parade”. In 2016 the band had local success with their 3rd single ‘Judgement Day’ which was featured on BBC Introducing in the West and many other local radio shows. During the summer of 2016, they played their first festival shows with appearance at Bug Jam, Hazy Days and Bristol Harbour Festival. Following the success of Judgement Day, they released their next single ‘Hypnosis’ in December, which was picked up by local Glastonbury FM presenter, Ian Liversidge who has championed the band ever since. In March 2017, Cosmic Ninja performed at the O2 Academy Bristol as part of the A Shot at Discovery competition. After a summer of live performances and song writing, the band recorded their first EP with producer Jayce Lewis (Fear factory, Gary Numan, Brian May) in November 2017 at Northstone Studios in Bridgend, South Wales. Jayce Lewis also performed drums on the tracks. In February 2018, they performed to a packed out audience at Glastonbury Calling. In June, they released the first single from the EP, “Yeah Right” which instantly became a fan favourite and allowed the band to get further airplays, and build connections outside of Bristol and Somerset. The band played a series of festivals throughout the summer, including the sold out ‘The Godney Gathering’. After a busy summer Cosmic Ninja released the follow up single ‘We Got Up’, which was also picked up by BBC Introducing in the West. They are now set to release their self-titled EP in late spring 2019 showcasing the final single from the EP ‘Sympathy’.
