Ropeadope Records recording artist Darren Hoffman is the guitarist and co-founder of New Orleans based duo Uncle Nef with legendary drummer and singer Shannon Powell; guitarist and band leader of the NYC trio gorgeous!; founder and producer of Guava Records; creator of the Tutti Music Player; and a resident faculty member of The Florida State University. Hoffman’s new solo work focuses on original songs for guitar and voice that tell stories reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits and instrumental improvisation likened to Jimi Hendrix and John Medeski.
