Singing from a very early age, Etta Smith’s musical direction has been heavily influenced by everything from classic northern soul to 70's disco. Her love of Soul, R'n'B and Funk, paired with an interest in today's fresh music, forms an innovative and exciting sound from the Newcastle native. 

Etta has performed in some of the UK's most iconic venues, such as Newcastle's City Hall, supporting Joe McElderry and London's IndigO2. In 2010 and 2011 she appeared at Newcastle's biggest music festival, 'Evolution', where she performaed alongside some of the industry's biggest names – Ellie Goulding, Dizzie Rascal, Paolo Nutini and others. Since her move to London, Etta continued building her profile through performing at prestigious venues such as Kensington Roof Gardens, The Troubadour, Camden Proud and The Bedford.

Etta has recently travelled to San Francisco, where she worked with the outstanding, Grammy award-winning producer, Narada Michael Walden. Together, they produced an enticing track that you are bound to love. Currently, Etta is writing and rehearsing her new material, in preparation for her brand new EP ‘Vestry Sessions with Etta Smith’, which is being recorded LIVE with her talented band.
