Fidel is a singer/songwriter who burst onto the U.K scene with his own unique take on music. His music incorporates blues, jazz & reggae & touches on everyday life & politics from a humorous albeit serious point of view. His influences include Bob Marley, Dennis Brown, Barry White & Luther Vandross. He performed at the Russell Simmons hip-hop summit in Los Angeles as well as having supported reggae legends Burning Spear & Buju Banton. Fidel wrote 4 tracks for U.K soulstress Hil St Soul's smash hit album 'Black Rose'(released in the U.S) & also previous album 'Soulidified'. Fidel also wrote the lead song for the feature film soundtrack 'Don't trigger' detailing the alarming rate of gun/knife murders amongst teenagers in the U.K. He has also written with award winning songwriter/producer Sasha Scarbec who co-wrote the 2005 international smash hit 'Your Beautiful' with U.K singer/songwriter James Blunt. Fidel's calm & easy going nature is contrasted sharply by his intense focus on making good music & he says "I smile everyday because I know it's only a matter of time before I get to share this music with the rest of the world
