Gecko Club came to life at the start of 2018. The 4-piece indie-surf rock band hailing from London, own an exotic sound which is unique to many other current British bands, and play an energetic set with deep grooves and dreamy melodies. Gecko Club have cultivated a dedicated number of followers off the back of presenting their refreshing sound, whilst rapidly growing this fanbase in a short space of time.
Having filled out various London venues such as O2 Islington and Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen throughout their first year, Gecko Club received their deserved, first sold-out headline show to a bustling crowd at the prolific Camden Assembly in January 2019.
Debut single ‘High Flyer’ received airtime on ITV 1’s This Morning in February, on top of reaching the 90k stream mark on Spotify. Sophomore single ‘Rainbow’ features a more psychedelic, laid back vibe but nonetheless is a crowd favourite with its addictive hooks and huge solos. 3-track EP titled ‘Roots’ released on Valentine’s Day marks the band’s first EP. It boasts summery, laid back grooves which melt you into your seat. Latest release ‘Only Tonight’, mimics the sound of their debut single. The track is one which schmoozes the crowd regularly with its high energy drive yet dreamy vocals and lax lead guitar.
