About
Goldfish Syndrome are an Irish band. In 2009, their 1st E.P., "Timewarp" gained interest internationally with Sounds of Violence Magazine (France) giving it 5 stars and the single "Where Have All The Good Times Gone?" used as the opening track for the “Riot on Sunset” compilation in the U.S. In 2010 the band released their 2nd E.P. "Moving On" which got them airplay on national radio at home. Ireland's premier music publication, HOTPRESS chose it as their "Pick of the Fortnight" in July that year. The next 3 years were spent working on their debut album, recorded at Mix-Box Studios in Germany with renowned producer Larry Fricke.
The 10 tracks were based on a “Youth, Boom, Bust” concept inspired by the the people and places around where they live . Reflecting the times, the songs take you on a journey from adolescence (In The End) through to the roar of the celtic tiger (Charlie) and ultimately to the economic and social decline of the late 00’s (Pyro).
The iTunes rock No.1 “Misty Morning” was the third single to be lifted from the long player. The video for the 1st single “Alleyways” was nominated for an Underground Cinema award last year and their music has also travelled as far as South Africa, being used in advertising campaigns for the tourism industry. The lads are hoping to build on this success once again with more extensive touring, returning to England later this year.
