What initially started as a quaint indie folk project by frontman Jacob Rowe, Happy Cry quickly shifted into something of a grunge powerhouse. Taking inspiration from the 90’s Grunge movement and modern guitar driven artists, the band simultaneously blends modern rock with heaps of nostalgia. 

The band has gained support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio and received glowing reviews from Rock Regeneration and ComeHereFloyd to name a few. They have spent the past year sharing bills with Vundabar, Coach Party and Lottery Winners amongst others and this year you can catch them kicking off festival season at Teddy Rocks alongside acts such as Feeder and Jake Bugg.
