About

Confessionals set to music. Delicate preaching over thick atmospheric soundscapes. Harper’s music feels like an intrusion on a prayer.

Originating from Hastings, the young artists use music as a cipher of woe, uplifted by the close-knit community of their hometown. Laced with their origins, their sound is best described as cinematic indie-folk. A tribute to confessional poetry, the project embodies Calista’s desire to make her experiences with illness tangible. Attempting to make sense of her trauma, the songs are like a diary, private whispers infused with intentional discomfort, inspired by the crooning of artists like Brooke Bentham and Craig Finn. Artists in sickness, as in health.
