Jane’s music reflects that of early 70’s acoustic folk, writing raw, stripped back songs, which highlight her pure, ethereal style of singing and lyrical prowess. Her self titled debut EP was released and launched to a sold out audience at The Unitarian Church in Brighton in Feb 2016. Available to download on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp.
Jane has enjoyed taking part in local music events such as The Great Escape Festival and Sofar Sounds in Edinburgh and Brighton as well as playing a number of shows up in London; a recent highlight performing at the legendary Ronnie Scotts. Her work has also taken her further a field on tours to Europe supporting Brighton folk/electronic group Night House, where they performed in a number of locations including Paris, Berlin, Frankfurt, Dresden and Prague.
Jane is currently about to embark on recording her second EP ‘Midnight Fables’ due for release in 2017 and is busy making the selection from her catalogue of songs to feature on this record which will be produced by well known Brighton musician Nick Williams who is also a member of her band. This year, Jane has planned to incorporate a fuller sound with more instruments and is busy writing new material to perform in the coming months.
“Brightons answer to Joni Mitchell” In Brighton Live, 2015
“A beautiful collection of songs that excel at promoting her gorgeous voice and top class songwriting chops. Sounding something like a cross between early 70s California and mid-2000s Portland, but very much her own self, think Joni MItchell crossed with Alela Diane.” Brighton Music Blog, Feb 2016.
