Joe Garvey is an aspiring singer-songwriter in the vein of Ed Sheeran and Frank Turner hailing from Kingston. His influences range from hip-hop to folk, while the ear for detail he acquired from his classical background can be clearly heard in his concise and witty songs. Although he's been writing music for his whole life, he began writing the songs he now gigs with on a trip around the world. With nothing but a £30 guitar bought from Thailand and a point and shoot camera, Joe travelled the continent of South America shooting live performances of his songs in deserts, rooftops and deserted beaches.

He's now been back home for six months and is playing energetic solo sets in London at every chance, often gigging twice or three times in one evening! He's performed on TV's London Live on two occasions now, and will be recording his first EP soon – he's definitely one to watch.
