Born and raised in Malaysia, JON is an acoustic singer-songwriter aiming to create a unique and deeply personal sound. Since beginning his musical journey in 2012, JON has honed a style that emphasises storytelling and rhythm. JON started writing songs at 16, inspired by the early work of Ed Sheeran, leading him to perform at various events during his formative years. Over time, JON cultivated a distinctive sound, seamlessly blending his acoustic roots with techniques like looping and vocal percussion, continuing to draw inspiration from a diverse range of artists, including dodie, Tiny Habits, and NIKI, with tracks like “falling for you” and “walls” becoming instant favourites.
