JONNY OLLEY

About

Jonny Olley is former bedroom-rocker turned singer-songwriter. Having grown up near to Coventry, he now lives and writes music in Nottingham. Jonny Olley creates a unique sound, blending influences, on the one hand, from his guitar heroes, such as John Frusciante (RHCP) and Eric Clapton and, on the other, from rappers and lyricists, such as Mike Skinner (The Streets) and Jamie T.

Jonny Olley has quickly been recognised as a new rising talent in Nottingham. Gigging for just over a year and a half now, he has already shared stages with acts such as Skinny Lister, Will Varley, Adam Ficek (of Babyshambles) and Dan Owen as well as playing Nottingham’s Dot to Dot and Hockley Hustle festivals two years running. He made his first appearances this summer at Derbyshire’s Y NOT, Nottingham’s Splendour and Coventry’s Godiva festivals. Furthermore, in January 2016 he was invited to play at Faction, a night held at Rough Trade, courtesy of BBC Introducing, showcasing the East Midlands’ best young talent.

His debut single is set to be released early 2017.
