About

Kenesha is a powerful and soulful influential singer songwriter from London with a dark rich persuasive tone. Her music really has a freshness that embodies nothing but authenticity and memorably melodious with potent lyricism. She evokes memories of Tracey Chapman and Joan Armatrading.

Kenesha released her debut  EP ‘EYES WIDE OPEN’ on the 10th July 2014  alongside a promotional video of her song “Hey I”  filmed by On the Come up TV in May 2014 . Amongst receiving airplay and high recognition for another featured song from her EP, her song  ‘ I hate the way’ was selected by Croydon radio station in June 2014 and she was selected as one of the best new artist around at the moment.

From working with the Barbican and Damon Albarn (Blur /Gorillaz) Kenesha’s music has reached an international audience and with her recent song: ‘Hey I’ reaching the final 100, for Ditto Music Austin Showcase ( USA) out of 5,000 plus worldwide.

In February 2014 she performed on Ktok radio station and also received international airplay in USA with her song “ HEY I” on Skope radio which due to high requests for the song lead to extended airplay from Dec 2013 till April 2014.

Kenesha has performed for Oxjam Clapham Summer shakedown Festival in August 2014 where her music receiving an outstanding reception on the night, she was asked back to perform for the Oxjam Clapham Takeover Festival 2014 in Oct 2014 and her song ‘We go up and down’ was chosen to be the main music feature on an Promo Video for the Oxjam Clapham Takeover Festival in 2014 and for Oxjam Music Festivals throughout the Uk.

Having recently performed at many famous venues amongst them being Charlie wrights where she headlined and the Famous Troubadour in Earls court . Kenesha is now looking forward to doing a tour soon and recording her next EP.
