The Kitsch Co Big Band has been slowly growing in popularity ever since their first appearance on social media, at the start of 2021. The band’s debut tune, ‘Granny’s Hips Still Shake’, was included in a walking tour of Utrecht, The Netherlands and RTV Utrecht, (Jan/Apr 2021). Success continued with a to the Hull Jazz Kickstart Commission in 2021. That gig drew in over 100 Hullians and was a major success with the audience and Hull Jazz Festival alike. Since then, the band toured Yorkshire (Nov 2022) which featured live electronics instead of a rhythm section and has been described by Steven Feifke as ‘killing’.
