Glasgow-based Lo Rays makes electro-rock made up of glitchy synths, pop hooks and heavy guitar riffs. Their music is often accompanied by futuristic visuals.

Lo Rays has been featured on Alyx Holcombe’s BBC Introducing Rock on Radio 1, BBC Radio Scotland and Scottish Daily Mail. In 2023 Lo Rays played their biggest shows to date supporting VUKOVI, and this year they were longlisted for a chance to play at the legendary Glastonbury Festival. 

Finnish songwriter Laura Takala formed Lo Rays in 2018 after moving to Glasgow to make music in the footsteps of her heroes Biffy Clyro. She met Scott Bathgate (guitar), Ryan Jones (bass) and Murray Bartle (drums) at a local gig.
