Mackenzie

About

Mackenzie is an alt-pop artist from Reading, taking inspiration from the likes of Avril Lavigne, Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus. These early influences are evident in her pop-rock tracks – from the sarcastic and honest lyrics to the powerful vocals and big choruses she has made her trademark. She has had regular support from both BBC Introducing Solent and Berkshire. Her latest single ‘I Hate July’ recorded at RYP Recordings with Micheal Smith (Wolf Alice, Honey Lung, Weird Milk) is the self-proclaimed scream-in-the-car anthem of 2023 and after its release on 26th January has gained support from Alyx Holcombe on BBC Radio 1 Introducing Rock and Nels Hylton on BBC Radio 1 Future Alternative.
