Fresh from being named finalists in Kerrang! Radio’s The Deal 2025 and newly announced to play District X at Download Festival, it’s easy to forget that Matted only played their first gig just over a year ago.
Since launching in May 2024, the band have already played major sets at Call of the Wild and Planet Rockstock, supported Crashface, Armored Saint, and Von Hertzen Brothers, and packed-out headline shows in London and Brighton.With raw energy, inventive songwriting, and an infectious camaraderie, Matted are fast becoming one of the UK’s most talked-about new rock bands. More music is already in the works, with further releases planned throughout 2025.
