Michael Kilbey

About

Michael Kilbey offers dark, expansive, melody-laden bubbles of dream-like introspection, charged with real emotion and unreal imagery, with influence from Nick Drake, The Smiths, Pink Floyd, REM and Radiohead and is from North London, UK.

A BBC Introducing performer at The Glastonbury Festival as part of The Franks in 2008, the ensuing years have witnessed Kilbey nurture his first body of work as a solo artist. Confronting the themes of loss, betrayal, alienation and fantasy, his debut EP ‘Indigo’ was released in October 2014, promptly attracting a large online fan-base, inspiring to-date a keen following of over 50,000 followers on Twitter, whilst earning a live acoustic set & interview on BBC 3 Counties Radio earlier this year.

The remainder of 2015 sees the artist tour the London-circuit with a string of dates already confirmed. Meanwhile recording of his first full-length album is set to commence in September.
