Formed entirely by accident, Marianne (formerly Missing Marianne) is a four-piece post-indie (?) ensemble. The band is a strange stillbirth – a jarred coalescence of folk / soul roots (courtesy of lead vocalist / pianist Rory Dinwoodie), dub / latin grooves (stickman Vic V. Palmer), funk and soul basslines all the way from Ukraine (bassist, Arsenii Butyrin) and alternative / college rock flourishes (Q Zanjani, guitarist / vocalist). 

With influences ranging from Jordan Rakei to Avenged Sevenfold via FOALs, the Marriane sound doesn’t take kindly to labels. The live set flickers between intimate piano ballads and nuclear riffage, all underpinned by a cohesive creative vision. Probably.
