Mother Said is a Leeds-Based post-punk 5 piece, sporting two female lead singers. Taking inspiration from the original post-punk and new wave to create a blend of the absurd, political and dark. Infusing heavier classic punk lyricism with rock and roll undertones they create female riot with purpose.

They formed in 2022 and have already played in numerous different cities, locals festivals and amassed an enthusiastic following. They were chosen as one of the ‘best of the year’ by BBC Introducing Leeds and Sheffield, frequently featuring on their channel for interviews, live performances and music debuts. Last October they won the Live At Leeds in the City artist submission competition and went on to play the festival. They have also played the Dark Arts festival in Leeds, Tarantino Festival in Hull, had their own headline gig in London and have supported many upcoming and successful bands in the scene.
