Nana White Pepper

About

“Electric, energetic and exhilarating”, Nana White Pepper’s lively show is exactly why they’re one of Fred Perry Subculture’s Ones to Watch 2019.

The Blackpool four-piece unites their wildly contrasting influences to create something wholly coherent — a punchy rock sound filled with unforgettable riffs and powerful vocals.

Since 2016 they’ve graduated from playing small local shows to historic venues such as Nambucca, The Deaf Institute, 93 Feet East and Manchester Academy, as well as providing support to bands as The Wholls, Strange Bones, The Movielife and Bang Bang Romeo.

2019 marks the start of a breakthrough chapter for Nana White Pepper, with the arrival of fresh music and their first UK tour, putting them in position to impress new audiences around the country.

“Equally melodic and dark with massive fuzzy guitars.” – THIS FEELING

“Anyone who’s seen Nana White Pepper knows these boys pack a rock hard punch. The huge pulsating riffs aligned with powerful punk vocals of new ‘Come Alive’ give a tantalising glimpse of the band’s new EP, due later this year.” – GIGSLUTZ

“Blackpool-based Nana White Pepper has been blowing crowds away since the end of 2016, becoming known for their explosive performances and tight, seamless sets – they’ve walked into a venue full of strangers and won over the crowd more than once.” – NORTHERN EXPOSURE

“With driving bass riffs, and powerful, often haunting vocals, NWP sit on the rock/punk edge of music alongside acts such as Royal Blood and Queens of the Stone Age.” – KETTLE

“Energy, the word which immediately jumped into my head as Blackpool’s Nana White Pepper kicked off their set. Relentless energy, barely stopping for air. Racing through tracks like Come Alive and Dark Room – encapsulating what NWP are about – fuzzy guitars, commanding vocals and face-melting solos. By the end of their 30mins set, you could sense the crowd was in their pocket.” – MOCKIT MUSIC
