OBELOS are a new 4-piece doom band from London, UK, combining crushing stoner sludge-doom, searing ambient noise, and absurdist conceptual themes, to bring their own brand of fuzz-laden sonic destruction. The band features members of Hertfordshire hardcore outfit, Negative Frame, Kesari Gorin (vocals, noise), and Xavier Oakley (bass), alongside Alfie Walshe (Drums), and Oscar Corriette (Guitar). OBELOS has just self-released its debut EP, Green Giant – a concept piece which explores a punishing new sonic angle on post-apocalyptic escapism, and makes the perfect musical backdrop for lighting up a fat one, while you let the sheer noise wash you away.
