Originally from Birmingham and now of East London, Oliver released his Shoegaze-leaning debut EP ‘Not Sinking, Yet Floating’ independently in February 2022. Despite the lack of label support, ‘Not Sinking, Yet Floating’ and ‘I’m Sure You Know’ won BBC Introducing track of the day, and all five entires including the 6:37 ‘Closer’ received repeat airplay.

After a hiatus from the studio, Oliver’s new direction defines a sonic palate which places him at the end of a more avant-garde lineage: inspired sonically by shoegaze and dream pop royalty my bloody valentine, Slowdive and Cocteau Twins but with a melodic sensibility more akin to Mazzy Star or Radiohead.
