Owen Duff

About

Owen Duff is an independent singer-songwriter and videomaker, adrift in east-east-London. He has been making music since the age of five and now writes, performs and produces his own songs. He plays piano, self-taught guitar, drums, a little ukulele and an even littler cello. His musical influences include Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder, Björk, jazz pianist Keith Jarrett, Bernard Herrmann's Hitchcock scores and the French musicals of Michel Legrand.

Owen has released five EPs, a couple of singles and a small flotilla of music videos; as well as recording an album of twenty songs which, rather than releasing, he hid in secret locations around the world. This was documented in the video for 'The Race', which accompanied the launch of Owen's fourth EP 'Realityicide’.
Owen has performed live around the UK at festivals and venues such as London's iconic Bush Hall and Manchester Academy, as well as curating his own show at the Rivington Gallery in Shoreditch. He has supported acts including the Hidden Cameras and Scott Matthew.

His songs have been played on BBC Radio 6 music and BBC Radio London, and have appeared in the films "Thirteen Downs", "The Falls" and its sequel “Testament of Love”, which also featured specially commissioned music.
