Palomino Club

About

Not to be confused with the Winnipeg strip club of the same name, Palomino Club are a four-piece synth-pop band from London, England. Palomino Club was formed by frontwoman and primary songwriter Hannah Stacey when amysterious, vibrantly blonde horse-like figure visited her in a dream and told her to quit the singer-songwriter game and set up a pop band instead. Realising that she didn't have enough arms, legs or musical talent to sing and play keyboard, guitar, bass and drums at the same time, she drafted in guitarist Paddy Johnston, bassist Rob Gordon and drummer Catherine Pate, all of whom believe in the power of the horse, share a love of eighties pop and harbour a guilty yet fiery passion for Sussudio-era Phil Collins. After building a following off the back of their initial “Pass You By/Ghosts and Memories” demo, the band released their debut EP “Sequences” in the winter of 2015, bringing the atmospheric quality of the horse’s dream to their songs about heartbreak under streetlights, unending desire, the disappearance of loved ones, and the rising of a supermoon over earth, which signals the coming of the Palomino Party.
