Phoebe Katis

About

With powerful lyrics, beautifully crafted melodies, and a soaring soulful voice, Phoebe writes from the heart: raw, emotional, yet universally relatable narrative are her muse, told through music that dances between soulful ballads, and sophisticated jazz-pop fusions. Phoebe received a BA in Music from the University of Leeds in 2014, and has since moved to London where she regularly gigs with her three piece, jazz/neo-soul based band. Having collaborated with producers in Leeds and London, Phoebe is no stranger to the studio, with music-making ambitions to echo her eclectic tastes including Submotion Orchestra, Kimbra, Mree, and Jamie Woon. On stage she is influenced by the likes of Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Lianne La Havas, Joss Stone, Melody Gardot, Norah Jones and Alicia Keys. Collaborating with other musicians to widen her music making ventures is one of Phoebe's goals this year as she settles into London and the music industry.

Phoebe’s single ‘All Of My Life’ is the theme to the modern British War Film ‘Kajaki. The True Story’ (2014) and is supporting four military charities alongside the film (Help for Heroes, Walking With The Wounded, Royal British Legion, and the Hashemite Commission for Disabled Soldiers).
