Rachel Kerry’s music is pop with an underlying DIY sound, ranging from bright bedroom synths and cheekily flipping off a Mercedes, to bracing 808s and a pensive darkness. Having studied jazz saxophone at Guildhall, Rachel’s songwriting is full of educated choices and flair. Her love for pop music started in her home town of Nottingham, where she has previously received support from BBC introducing, but her move to Manchester in summer 2021 marks a new era for her on a personal level, and therefore her honest and open music. In the three years Rachel has spent releasing music, she’s learnt a lot about herself and her process, and now has 7 tracks slated for independent release in 2022.
