Radhika de Saram actively participates as a violinist on the classical music freelance scene, but has more recently focused her attention on playing bass guitar and on writing her own compositions, picking up on a variety of influences including jazz and world music and going back to her roots, implementing elements of Sri Lankan folk song and rhythm. During Summer 2021, as well as touring her music at various venues in Russia, her band was part of the ‘Rainy Hot Culture Days Festival’ held in St Petersburg. They have also just finished recording material for her debut album which will be out in Summer 2022 on the label ‘Rainy Days’.
