During his fight with cancer, Robert found refuge in the music of artists, such as the cure, Radiohead, and Damien Rice. Consequently, writing his own. Combining the emotive and alternative sounds of his childhood influences with a distinct writing style, characterised by personal and emotive lyrics discussing topics ranging from queerness to social media. His new single Obsessed (With the Way She Sees Me) combines more energetic sounds with playful yet honest and emotive lyrics.
