Growing up in a house of musicians, Roux Barker was bound to pick up an instrument eventually. At 16, Roux wrote his first ever song, which touched upon his relationship with his mother.

Five years and many songs later, Roux Barker has identified his sound, combining personal experience with illusory thoughts. The polished instrumentals provide a comforting bed for his raw, unfiltered voice – creating a unique and contemporary feel.

Roux grew up listening to the likes of The Beatles and Coldplay. These influences lay the foundation to his project, which has been bolstered by the discovery of more recent artists, such as Frank Ocean, Sam Fender and Holly Humberstone to name a few.
