Selin Gecit was born in 1998 in Istanbul, she was raised in Great Britain for 12 years of her life. Her musical journey started when she was 8 when she first recorded a song with her father who is an amateur musician. She then started making youtube videos which gained her recognition in the Istanbul music environment, with a total of 3000 + subscribers and 900,000 + views. In 2015 she won third place in a nationwide high school music competition for best female voice. The following year she came first place for best female voice. Selin gigged around Istanbul with her band Frey. She had a few appearances on local television programs and interviews in Turkey, where she sang her originals.
Selin is now studying at BIMM LONDON university and has started gigging with her band regularly around some of the best live music venues in London. Selin & The band have a mix of originals and covers ranging from contemporary RnB / Soul and Funk.
