Like all good stories, Shackites began in the pub. One drunken conversation led to the formation of the five-piece from the holy triangle of Atherton, Tyldesley and Astley, Greater Manchester.

Shackites carved out an alternative, shoe gaze sound in the gritty surrounds of a factory during lockdown and, after overcoming several setbacks, finished out 2021 with shows in Manchester and Wigan before releasing their debut single.

‘Losing My Mind’ was well received, earning praise for its ‘effervescent guitars and hazy vocals’ and getting picked up by radio stations as far away as Australia.

2022 is set to be a massive year for Shackites.
