Shao Hao is a 25-year old singer-songwriter from Hangzhou, China. He relocated to London, UK in 2007 as an International emerging artist. Current resident artist at the Roundhouse in Camden, London.

He started to perform in public at the age of 7 and began to write his own songs when he was 15. Shao Hao also plays keyboard, guitar and Guqin (a unique ancient Chinese instrument). In London he has so far performed at a broad variety of venues including The Roundhouse, 12 Bar Club, The Goodship, Water Rats, The Roadtrip, The Comedy and The Royal Society.

Shao Hao’s style is a unique blend of Chinese Folk Pop, Western Soul, R&B and Folk/Pop music. He has been inspired by artists like Stevie Wonder, Tracy Chapman, Lianne La Havas, Imogen Heap, Demon Albarn and Chinese artists like He Xuntian, Qi Qin, Faye Wang and Li Zongsheng.

His first self-written and produced EP ‘Yi’ was released in 6th June 2015 and is available to download on iTunes and other major online music stores.
