Shoot The Duke are an energetic acoustic three-piece hailing from Portsmouth, UK. What really makes the band stand out is their great charisma and personality that shines through when they are performing on stage from their line-up of Tom Bryan – guitar and vocals, Neil Cripps – guitar and vocals and Sam Weeks – cajon. This trio have created their own unique sound by combining confident vocals, bluesy guitar solos, moody 'dub-esc' guitar rhythms and sometimes a hint of train-track harmonica. They draw inspiration from a wide variety of artists from The John Butler Trio, to Biffy Clyro. 2016 has been a very rewarding year for Shoot The Duke, they have picked up management and played a plethora of festivals this year including Victorious Festival, Wickham Festival, Freshtival 2016, Haringey Food & Drink Festival 2016 and many other underground roots and folk festivals where they have supported the likes of The Sheepdogs, The Hoosiers and Louis Berry to name a few. They recently won a song writing competition called ‘All about the song’ which will see them flying out to Italy to record their track ‘Nicotine’ which has also been featured on BBC introducing. They will also get to spend a day at the renowned Air Studios in London. Shoot The Duke are part of the furniture at a lot of well-known venues throughout the UK and they have gained a loyal following of fans of all ages due to their honest and passionate lyrics combined with their great musicianship and stage presence. Their fantastic success this year sees Shoot The Duke finishing the year on a high by releasing their long awaited, self-titled EP on the 19th November 2016.
