Six Towns

About

please complete“A proper British guitar band with real swagger. One for the lads” – That’s what MTV had to say about this Indie Rock ‘n’ Roll band from Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire after they were revealed to be in the final 10 artists to become MTV’s Unsigned Act of 2013. And though they may not have won this competition, the finalists have made a major impression on both industry professionals and fans alike with their unique outlook and their rock fuelled rebellion against the "skinny jeans society".

Formed in 2008, the band have progressed with commitment and determination to become one of the biggest unsigned acts in Stoke. Their combination of anthemic choruses mixed with a passion in their live shows is unlikely to be rivalled, this has propelled Six Towns to become one of the must hear Rock n Roll bands of the modern generation.

Numerous releases over time have only helped to increase their following. From their first mini album “The Story of Your Life” as well as follow up E.P’s including “Too Young To Die” and most recently “Poor Distracted People” they have continued to develop and mature their sound and performance. Combine this with their Youtube videos which have received hits and feedback from around the world, their music is being heard by a bigger audience than ever.

Older influences such as The Beatles, The Jam, Led Zeppelin and Rolling Stones combined with more modern sounds from The Music, Kasabian, The Rifles and Courteeners make it easy to understand how they produce such a big sound and perform with a stage presence which captures the imagination and ears of fans. With the consistent development of their sound, they are fast evolving into a band which would not look out of place amongst this list as they continue to produce ear-catching material time after time.

With more new releases due in 2013 as well as a tour throughout the UK, Six Towns continue to spread the word and the message; “Rock n Roll isn’t dead, you just haven’t lived it yet”

"Six Towns have a raw energy that is evident in all of their songs and even more so in their live sets. The passionate four-piece use their influences wisely to produce powerful riffs combined with strong lyrics and anthemic chorus'. It is clear from the bands tight sets that they work hard as a group to perfect each song they play, and seeing them perform is always memorable" – Lee Barber, Radicals Rising

"Indie-Rockers 'Six Towns' have great songs already, they are aggressive in parts but have elements that you'll love forever, these lads know how to write a catchy rock anthem" – Fred Bambridge, It’s All Indie – http://www.its-all-indie.blogspot.com/

“In a world where bland R&B and poor pop is still intoxicating the charts, Six Towns are one of the few real guitar based indie rock n roll bands grabbing the bull by the horns and pushing to take over the world. With their solid riffs, powerful drums and distinctive vocals, they can’t help but produce anthem after anthem.”

"I have watched this band go from strength to strength, refining their sound and maturing at a level most bands don't reach. They work hard, play with passion and are bringing back good, guitar based indie rock and roll. Six Towns are definitely ones to keep an eye out for…" – Chantelle (Get:Method) – www.theunsignedrevolution.com
